Technology transfer is essentially a team sport. But every team has individuals who deserve special recognition. This Spotlight, our first in a series on the 2020 FLC National Awards, highlights those individuals.
T2’s very objective is to create a team from two or more distinct organizations. And those organizations are inevitably made up of scientific teams, engineering teams, manufacturing teams, distribution teams, and of course legal teams.
Our individual award winners are all team players. What makes them stand out as individuals are the many ways they make good teams even better. They bring together partners who complement each other not just with regard to technology, but also with regard to intangibles like work ethic, communication skills, and organizational culture. And they work harder than most people realize to foster the kind of teamwork that results in impactful T2 outcomes.
Dr. Robert Griesbach, this year’s winner of the Harold Metcalf Award for FLC Service, is known for "his ability to see connections where others see dissonance." That individual ability, not surprisingly, has led to a T2 career filled with team achievements.
Griesbach, Jason Martinez, Jack Owsley and Dr. Paul Kearns, all featured below, are some of T2’s most valuable team players. Please join us in congratulating these noteworthy individuals.
